Data Deletion

Delete it yourself, instantly

Open Me → Privacy Center in the app. From there you can delete a single snapshot, delete all social-account data, or delete everything Unfollo has. Local data is removed from your browser immediately. If you enabled account sync, server-side copies are deleted immediately as well, with backups purged on their standard rotation (30 days maximum).

Analytics data

Unfollo keeps first-party product analytics keyed to a random identifier stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). There are three ways to remove it, all in You → Privacy Center:

• Turn analytics off. Deletes the identifiers and every analytics record keyed to them, and stops collection.
• Delete my analytics identifier. Deletes the same records while leaving analytics on; a fresh identifier is generated for future visits.
• Delete All My Data. Removes analytics along with everything else, including records linked to your account.

Deletion removes your visitor and session records, your individual analytics events, your heatmap points and your conversion records. Day-level totals are not deleted: they are counts with no identifier in them — a date, a dimension and a number — so they hold nothing about you, and removing them would rewrite site-wide history rather than delete personal data. Grouped error reports are detached from your session rather than deleted, for the same reason: a bug affecting many people should not disappear because one person erased their data.

No account? Nothing to delete on our side

If you only ever used private scans or never saved a baseline, your data exists solely in your browser. Clearing site data in your browser settings removes it completely — including the analytics identifier and its cookies.

You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the address on your account. We confirm completion within 30 days, as required by GDPR/CCPA-style regulations.
